Why I started Llegal

Founder, Llegal
I’m Hedda, founder of Llegal.
I’ve spent my career inside fast-growing technology companies, building legal and compliance functions rather than advising them from the outside.
What I kept seeing was a gap between doing everything yourself and hiring a lawyer or a full-time legal resource. Most founders can handle a lot themselves, especially with AI. But sometimes you want someone experienced to sanity-check a decision, tell you what actually matters, or step in when something gets more complicated.
Llegal is built for that gap.
I spent seven years at SafetyWing as it grew from an early-stage startup into an international insurance business, ultimately leading compliance. Today I lead Legal & Compliance at Bislab.
I hold a law degree from the University of Oslo, as well as a degree in International Law from The Hague.
My background sits at the intersection of legal, product, technology and regulated businesses, with particular experience in tech, fintech, data, privacy, AI, compliance and international expansion.
I like pragmatic decisions, understand that zero risk is rarely the goal, and care much more about identifying the risks that actually matter than producing legal work for its own sake.
